What are the reasons why the burner cannot ignite?

The burner is one of the essential equipment in the modern industrial production process. It can mix liquid or gaseous fuel and air and ignite it to produce high-temperature and high-pressure combustion gas to drive mechanical equipment such as turbines or gas generators. But sometimes, we may encounter a situation where the burner cannot ignite, which may be caused by the following reasons.

1. Insufficient or excessive fuel

Insufficient fuel is one of the main reasons why the burner cannot ignite. In the burner system, the mixing ratio is very important because when the ratio of fuel to air is not appropriate, it will affect the efficiency and stability of combustion. If there is too much fuel, it may cause dangerous accidents such as explosions or fires.

2. Power supply problem

The burner is usually started by power supply. If there is a problem with the power supply line or the voltage is unstable, the burner may not start. At this time, it is necessary to check whether the contact of the power supply line is good, whether the voltage is normal, and restart the burner.

3. Electrode damage

The electrode of the burner plays an ignition role. If the electrode is damaged, such as the electrode terminal is worn, broken, or contaminated, it will not be able to output electric sparks to ignite the mixed gas, which will cause the burner to fail to ignite. Therefore, it is necessary to check and clean the electrode regularly. If the electrode is seriously damaged, it is necessary to replace the electrode.

4. Combustion chamber failure

The combustion chamber of the burner is a key component for the combustion of mixed gas to produce high-temperature and high-pressure gas. If the nozzle in the combustion chamber is blocked, or there is negative pressure or leakage inside the combustion chamber, the burner will fail to ignite. At this time, it is necessary to check the status of the combustion chamber and repair or replace it.

In short, there may be many reasons why the burner cannot ignite, but as long as we take the correct method to troubleshoot in time, we can restore the burner to normal operation and ensure the continuity and stability of the production process.
