How to Adjust Dual-Fuel Burner Parameters

A dual-fuel burner is a flexible device that can choose to burn only one fuel or a mixture of two fuels, greatly increasing its application range, especially in gas-fired boilers. Before using the burner, it is essential to adjust the parameters correctly. Improper parameter adjustments often result in unsatisfactory combustion. Today, the manufacturer will teach you how to adjust the parameters; we hope you will learn after reading this.

I. Preparations Before Parameter Adjustment

Before adjusting the parameters, the following preparations are necessary:

1. Select a suitable fuel combination based on the actual situation.

2. Familiarize yourself with the burner's components and working principle, and master relevant knowledge.

3. Inspect and maintain key components (such as the burner and gas valves) to ensure they are fault-free.

II. Parameter Adjustment Steps

1. Air-to-Gas Ratio Adjustment

The air-to-gas ratio is a key parameter affecting the performance of a dual-fuel burner. 1. **Airflow Adjustment:** When adjusting the combustion ratio, maintain a constant airflow and gradually increase the gas flow until residual air or gas appears in the flame. Then, fine-tune the ratio to achieve complete combustion.

2. **Fuel Nozzle Adjustment:** If using dual-liquid fuels, adjust the fuel nozzles to control fuel flow and range. Precise nozzle adjustment requires multiple tests and fine-tuning to achieve optimal combustion.

3. **Gas Valve Adjustment:** The gas valve controls the gas entering the burner. Adjusting its opening and closing time and frequency effectively controls gas flow and combustion. When adjusting the gas valve, adjust the frequency and time according to actual conditions, while also being aware of valve malfunctions and damage.
