Maintenance Techniques for Upgraded Biomass Burners

Are you aware of the three major advantages of upgrading coal-fired boilers with biomass burners? Biomass burners, which have become very popular in recent years for upgrading coal-fired boilers, are mechanical devices that ignite biomass fuel. So, what are the advantages of biomass burners? Do you know them all? Let me introduce you to the five outstanding advantages of biomass burners.

The biomass pellets burned in the biomass burner are more thoroughly combusted than when biomass pellets are directly burned in a coal-fired boiler.  Secondly, the thermal efficiency is higher. The biomass burner adopts a vortex design and multi-stage cyclone oxygenation, resulting in more scientific and stable combustion. The biomass pellets ignite quickly, the flame is stable, and the firepower is high, providing a good and stable energy supply to the boiler.

Compared with coal combustion emissions, the emissions from biomass burners are much lower in harmful substances such as sulfur dioxide, carbon dioxide, dust, and NOx due to more thorough and complete combustion. This meets my country's environmental protection standards, an environmental advantage that coal-fired boilers do not possess.

During assembly, the inside and surrounding environment of the biomass burner should be cleaned. If various impurities enter the system during the installation process, not only will the components be damaged, but the oil passages will also be blocked, leading to accidents such as damage to the combustion shaft and support shaft.

Secondly, some parts of the biomass burner are not universally applicable. If you cannot distinguish between unusable components and use them indiscriminately, it will not only hinder maintenance but also negatively affect the equipment.

Furthermore, it is important to note that expansion parts of the same size but different types are not interchangeable. If you do not know the specifications of the parts when repairing the biomass fuel molding fuel burner, you will not only waste time and miss opportunities, but also fail to guarantee the repair quality and significantly reduce the service life of the roller bearings.

In addition, as a biomass burner repair technician, attention should be paid to valves, bearing clearances, etc. For example, when installing the cylinder block, the upper surface should be approximately 0.1mm above the engine block plane; otherwise, cylinder leakage or continuous damage to the cylinder gasket will occur. It's also worth noting that when replacing biomass combustion system components, paired components should be replaced together, such as the atomizing nozzle and needle valve, and the plunger pump and inlet/outlet valve pairs.  Replacing components in this way prevents compromising the proper functioning of the paired parts.
