How to troubleshoot burner ignition and flameout failures

The manufacturer of burner equipment accessories, will introduce to you how to troubleshoot burner ignition failure and flameout failure. If it is an ignition failure, how to judge it? First, start the burner three times in a row. If it does not ignite, it is judged as an ignition failure, and corresponding inspections are required to troubleshoot the fault. The fan operates normally during ignition and the procedure is correct.

1. If it is a gas source failure, check whether the natural gas pressure is normally maintained at 3-5kpa. Too high or too low will cause ignition failure. Solution (adjust the natural gas pressure and set the pressure).

2. If it is a damper failure, check the size of the damper. When the damper is too large, it is easy to cause multiple ignition failures. The solution is: (adjust the damper appropriately, but do not close it completely).

3. If the ignition electrode or ignition transformer fails, the ignition transformer does not ignite, or the ignition electrode is too dirty and the position is wrong, an ignition failure will occur. Solution (test whether the ignition transformer ignites, clean the ignition electrode, and adjust the ignition gap to keep 2-3mm).

4. If the gas valve group fails, the valve group will open in time during normal ignition and the sound of opening can be heard. If it cannot open, no flame will be established. The solution is (check the valve group coil and adjust the valve opening degree).

5. The ignition controller fails. The ignition program is issued by the controller. The controller is damaged and cannot ignite normally. Solution: (Replace the controller).

What is a flameout failure?

(1) When the burner is burning normally, it suddenly extinguishes the flame. This is a flameout failure.

(2) After the flame fluctuates due to unstable gas source, extinguish the fire. Solution: adjust the pressure and restart.

(3) When the flame detector fails, the flame detection probe is grounded during operation, or it is too dirty to detect the normal flame, resulting in flameout. Solution: adjust the probe position and clean the probe surface. Restart.

(4) Circuit failure. The power supply is unstable or lacks phase, causing flameout during the process. Solution: contact an electrician to check the power supply and wiring. Burner does not start fault. The burner does not start after pressing the start button for a long time. 1. External interlock fault. The external temperature or pressure control does not reach the starting lower limit; check the temperature or pressure setting value. 2. The internal interlock of the burner does not pass. When the air pressure is too high or too low, the wind pressure switch is not closed, and the damper mechanism is not in place, it will appear. Check step by step. 3. The program controller fails to reset. Reset it again.

(5) The fan motor is overheated and the thermal relay is reset.

(6) Check the start button of the control cabinet to see if it is normal.

6. Circuit fault. Check the circuit to see if the start signal is normal and the voltage fuse is normal.
