UV Flame Detector Troubleshooting Methods


There are many types of flame detectors, but the commonly used ones can be used for flame detection of gas and oil industrial burners. This detector is only sensitive to the generated ultraviolet rays, has no reaction to light and high temperature radiation of the furnace, and has strong anti-interference.


Its main functions are: control the ignition device to automatically ignite, and automatically open the fuel valve at the same time. If there is no ignition within the set time, the controller automatically closes the fuel valve and alarms. If the ignition is successful, the fuel supply is maintained normally. If you encounter some faults during normal use, how can you troubleshoot where the fault occurred? The editor will teach you some simple and practical methods.


1. The burner has no fire, but the monitoring shows that there is fire. This is the interference caused by the gradual increase of distributed capacitance after the monitoring line is damp. Please turn on the module and slowly adjust the potentiometer clockwise until the green indicator light goes out and the relay is released.


2. The burner has fire, but the monitor shows no fire. There may be two reasons. One is that the probe lens is covered with dust. Please wipe the probe quartz lens clean. The second is that the impedance matching potentiometer is over-adjusted. Please turn on the module counterclockwise positioner until the green indicator light is on and the relay is closed.


3. If the lens of the probe is accidentally broken during installation or use, do not replace it with ordinary glass, because ordinary glass cannot pass through the ultraviolet rays generated by the flame.
