Riello Power India, a wholly-owned subsidiary of RPS SpA (Riello Power Solutions, Italy), an Italy-based company belonging to the Riello Elettronica Group, has expanded its range of Modular Multi-Power UPS (MPW-MPX) designed to protect data centers and critical applications with the new 75kW combination cabinet (MPX 75 CBC).
This new Multi Power model accommodates 3 modules of 15 kW or 25 kW (the modules must have the same power) and is the ideal solution for IoT and EDGE computing applications where the load is not too high but space is at a premium. As a result, the Multi Power series becomes more flexible and able to meet any stringent requirements of mission critical applications. The latest cabinet combinations have emerged as the perfect modular solution for all small to medium power applications where capital cost (CapEx) has the greatest impact on the choice between a modular or monolithic UPS. This cost-effective and efficient solution ensures UPS redundancy (MPX 75 CBC is optimized for 1+1 or 2+1 redundant systems) and battery life in an extremely compact footprint, in fact, the Multi Power The MPX 75 CBC allows for connection/disconnection of power modules and battery units (BU) while the system is running, as well as hot swapping of all elements of the system, making maintenance and replacement of major components of the system easy. If the load does not change relative to the initial configuration, but requires more autonomy, an additional battery cabinet (Battery Cabinet - BTC) can be added, while if additional power is required, the user can decide to add an additional Combo Parallel cabinet: via this In this way, the system is fully scalable and accommodates any type of horizontal or vertical expansion of the system.
A further advantage of the new Multi Power MPX 75 CBC is the high efficiency of the system, up to 96.5% in online mode with double conversion and up to 95% at a load of only 20%. It also guarantees a uniform power factor and has an extremely wide operating voltage range (+20 / -40%) for easy sizing of upstream power supplies.
This exceptional performance guarantees extremely low losses at any load level, providing a truly modular solution for any UPS environment affected by changes in power demand.
Advanced Technology and Custom Designed Components
During the design phase of the MPX power modules, it was decided to use reliable and state-of-the-art components and technologies to ensure maximum performance, energy availability and power. In order to maximize the performance and efficiency of Multi Power, the Riello UPS R&D center chose to specifically design certain power components, including the IGBT module: the power module itself uses the "wireless power principle", so the interconnection distance between the boards, power components and Connectors are greatly optimized. In this way, power loss is minimized, the overall efficiency of the system is increased, the risk of power interruption is avoided, and the mean time to repair (MTTR) is also benefited.
