Gas boiler water treatment problem solution


When the gas boiler is running for a long time, the magnesium ions in the water will react, scale, corrode the boiler, and seriously affect the service life and operation effect of the boiler. Therefore, the water used by the boiler is generally softened water, and some problems often occur during the water treatment process, affecting the quality of softened water and the operation effect of the boiler.

1 For those who have not implemented boiler water treatment, the boiler, boiler water and local conditions should be considered comprehensively. For those steel shell boilers with small evaporation and low steam pressure, try to use the method of external boiler chemical treatment, and try to equip the corresponding deoxygenation equipment for deoxygenation treatment;

For those boilers with large evaporation and high steam pressure, external boiler chemical treatment should be given, and corresponding deoxygenation equipment must be installed; for natural water containing more impurities, precipitation or filtration and other measures should be used to effectively treat it, so as to achieve boiler water treatment in a timely and efficient manner;


2 For the case of improper boiler water treatment methods, the boiler water treatment method should be readjusted. The use of new technologies needs to be approved by relevant departments and reported to the local labor department for filing before new technologies can be used on designated boilers.

If the boiler water treatment has achieved good results, it will be promoted after passing the technical appraisal of the superior department, so as to ensure the safe use of the boiler;


3 The range of the PH of the boiler water should be adjusted to reduce the probability of boiler scaling and corrosion. Generally, the PH value of the boiler water should be kept between 10 and 12. If the hardness of the boiler water is too high, soda ash should be appropriately added to increase its PH value to the appropriate range;


4 Appropriate measures should be taken for unqualified boiler water treatment equipment. For example, when using resin exchange agents, the method of external chemical treatment of the boiler should be adopted. For the occurrence of resin iron poisoning, reasonable analysis should be made according to the corresponding situation, the cause should be found out, and a suitable plan should be developed to recover the resin, and regular anti-corrosion and inspection work should be done;


5 For the situation where the management of boiler water quality testing is unclear, we must first strengthen the treatment of boiler water quality. Department leaders must fully realize the importance of boiler water treatment in the safe and long-term operation of the boiler. At the same time, boiler water treatment must be included in routine management, and water quality treatment personnel and boiler management personnel must be given regular training and assessment, especially those water quality inspection personnel must be educated on boiler water treatment knowledge;

Boiler water treatment personnel must strictly follow the relevant water treatment regulations for water treatment, strengthen education in ideology, obey the assignment in the post, and strictly abide by the discipline. The test of boiler water must be timely, accurate, and comprehensive, and the test results can be correctly filled in. They cannot deceive the inspection of superiors, refuse to perform any violations, and be able to work rigorously;

The test of boiler water quality must follow relevant regulations. The hardness, alkalinity and pH value of the raw water must be measured at least once a month, and the hardness of soft water quality and other items must be tested once or twice per hour. The relative alkalinity and dissolved solids of boiler water must be checked regularly. At the same time, after completing the basic work, they must also be responsible for guiding the boiler's sewage discharge;


6 For boilers with improper blowdown, the boiler blowdown policy should be improved. Boilers with both bottom periodic blowdown and surface continuous blowdown should be discharged at least once per shift, and the boiler water should be tested every 1 to 2 hours to analyze whether the various indicators meet the relevant standards. If any of the indicators are found to exceed the standard during the test, the valve should be adjusted immediately until the indicator reaches the standard; For boilers with bottom blowdown devices but no surface blowdown devices, they should be discharged at least once per shift, and the overall alkalinity and PH of the boiler water should be carefully analyzed. If any indicator is found to exceed the normal level, the number of bottom discharges should be increased.
