Among the accessories of the burner, the oil pump is the basic power equipment. Today, we have sorted out some knowledge about the common causes of oil pump failures and how to deal with them for your reference.
1. The oil pump does not operate
In order to troubleshoot the problem, the cause of the failure must be checked. To this end, the possible causes such as whether there is oil in the oil tank, whether the valve is closed and blocked, whether there is air in the system, whether the oil filter and the fuel injector are clean, and whether the oil pressure and vacuum are normal should be eliminated.
If the problem still cannot be solved. Check whether the coupling between the motor and the oil pump is intact. If the oil pump still cannot operate, replace the oil pump.
2. The oil pump does not absorb oil
The reliable operation of the entire system is closely related to the oil suction capacity of the oil pump and the relative position of the oil tank and the oil pump. When the oil pump cannot absorb oil, first install the vacuum gauge on the correct interface of the oil pump. If the indicated value of the vacuum gauge is still 0 after the system is running, you need to check:
1. Is only the motor rotating, but the oil pump shaft is not rotating. This is most likely due to the failure or looseness of the coupling.
2. If the oil pump is indeed running, check whether the rotation direction and speed of the oil pump are correct.
When checking the burner accessories, the vacuum gauge should be connected to the oil pump. If it is determined that there is no vacuum, a rough check can be made, that is, a small bucket of fuel is placed next to the oil pump, the oil pump suction end is inserted into the oil bucket, the oil pump is started, and the oil pump is checked to see if the oil pump can suck oil, and pay attention to whether the oil filter of the oil pump has been installed in time. After inspection, it still cannot suck oil, and the oil pump can only be replaced.
3. The oil pump oil pressure cannot be adjusted
If the oil pump oil pressure cannot be adjusted or the oil pressure gauge indicates incorrectly, the reasons may be:
1. The coupling between the oil pump and the motor fails.
2. The oil pressure gauge fails.
3. The oil pressure gauge is not installed correctly.
4. The oil pressure regulating valve fails or is blocked. In this case, the oil pressure gauge can only indicate one pressure.
5. There is air in the oil, which will make the oil pressure gauge indicate unstable.
6. Improper selection of oil pump. If the selected oil pump flow is smaller than the injector flow, the pressure measured by the oil pressure gauge is very low.
7. The gears are worn and the oil pump cannot generate enough pressure.
8. The fuel is too thin. The viscosity is reduced and the nozzle flow is reduced.
9. The oil pump may not be suitable for kerosene.
According to the above fault causes, then take corresponding treatment methods.
